On February 5th, the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Solar Photovoltaic Energy Systems hosted an expert review meeting on IEC standard proposals in Beijing to review the IEC standard proposal "Test procedure of Low Voltage Ride-Through for utility interconnected photovoltaic converter" proposed by the New Energy Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Electrical Sciences. The expert group listened to the proposal preparation team's introduction to the background, outline, and summary of the IEC standard proposal, and provided constructive comments and suggestions on the proposal itself. After discussion by the expert group, it was unanimously agreed that the IEC standard proposal should be submitted. After the proposal is submitted, it will be reviewed by the general responsible unit and submitted to the National Standards Commission, which will ultimately submit the standard proposal to IEC. Low voltage ride through capability is an important indicator of the grid connection performance of photovoltaic inverters, which is directly related to the grid connection consumption of photovoltaic power generation and the safe and stable operation of the power grid. With the rapid growth of photovoltaic grid connection capacity at home and abroad, various countries have put forward requirements for low-voltage ride through performance of photovoltaic inverters. Currently, there is no IEC level test standard for the low voltage ride through capability of grid connected photovoltaic inverters. The IEC standard proposal will propose a universal low-voltage ride through detection technology for photovoltaic power generation worldwide, further promoting the progress of low-voltage ride through technology for photovoltaic power generation in China. The successful application of the proposal will further enhance China's voice in the world's photovoltaic power generation field, enabling China to occupy the commanding heights in the field of low-voltage penetration detection in photovoltaic power generation.
